What do you do when your favourite clothes brand asks you to be in their website blog – as long as you bring your famous kitty too? 😂

Well of course you say yes! And I was more than delighted to do so. By now most of you know Collectif clothing is one of my favourite brands. For more than 20 years I’ve been shopping with them and developing my style through the 40s and 50s. I settled some time ago on the 1950s and specifically the Dior New Look style with is wide skirts and petticoats.

For reference I am 5ft 6, 34dd and wear a size 12 in Collectif. I only tend to size up to a 14 if the dress is boatneck style, very close fitting in the upper body and has no stretch.
